Plaintiffs are a class of past, present, and future insulin-dependent diabetic inmates ("plaintiffs") whofiled suit claiming that various corrections officials and employees were deliberately indifferent to the plaintiffs' serious medical needs, in violation of the Eighth Amendment. In this appeal, defendants challenge the District Court's refusal to grant summary judgment in their favor on the grounds of qualified immunity. For the reasons discussed below, we vacate the District Court's decision and remand for further proceedings in accordance with this opinion.
